About the book
When I read the title of the book, I wondered why the author classified love as a demon. I initially felt it might have some similarity with the book titled 'Of Love and other Demons' by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. With the hope of finding something really interesting, I picked up the first story. Once I finished reading it, I found it completely different. Not just this, I was overwhelmed to see how the author has defined love sarcastically as a demon through a story that deals with the problems faced by any middle-class person who has suddenly faced unexpected losses. I understood that an entire book of of such beautiful stories was waiting for me.
The book is a collection of 13 stories. Each of the stories relates with the life of a common person. They reveal the ups and downs of life and the decisions that a person is forced to make going by the circumstances. Each story has a message to share, making the readers to close their eyes and think deeply. If I tell about myself, as I read along, I found myself somewhere amidst the characters. The choice of words, the style of narration and the language used would allow any reader to understand and feel the beauty that lies within the stories.
I would recommend everyone to read this book. I would rate it 4.7 on 5.
Lastly, I would give my best wishes to the author. I expect to read more from you in the near future.
