Image
Just finished reading the novel- History Revisited- penned by Nishant Joshi and published by Frog Books. Before I present my take on the book, let us know the author and what led him to this project- in his own words. About the author: I am a final year engineering student of Electronics and Telecommunication at Mumbai University. I was born in Lucknow, U.P. and since my father had a transferrable job, we migrated to various cities. From Lucknow to Bhubaneshwar, then to Kanpur, then Delhi, then again Lucknow and then, finally to the city of dreams, Mumbai. I have grown in an era that was full of science fiction elements be it television cartoons like Shaktimaan and Dragon Ball Z, films like Spiderman and Star Wars or the never-ending list of science fiction computer games. On one hand, I was greatly inspired by them while on the other hand, was unhappy not to find anything as such that was from my own country except a handful of them which were completely restricted to th...

Image
Finished reading the book ‘Ponytail- The Love for Revenge’ a while ago. Before I present my take on this work of fiction, let us know about the author- this time in his own words. About the author: Hi, I am Dr. Pradip Chauhan born in the state of Gujarat in India in 1985. I have my medical science degree (M.B.B.S., M.S., C.R.M) FROM Saurashtra University. Presently, I deliver lectures of Anatomy Subject in P.D.U. Govt. Medical College, Rajkot. The book: If we read the book, we would see the plot circles around love and revenge, and the term ‘ponytail’ plays a great role in it. So, the title ‘Ponytail- The Love for Revenge’ can be said as the most relevant one for the book. The cover page is pretty simple and doesn’t have much to show. I would suggest the author to get it changed into something catchy in the reprints. Now let us come to the main story. The plot circles around a rich businessman who has a pathetic past. Today, as he dreams of taking his business to g...
