Journey towards realization- review of 'Vitamin H'

Just finished reading the book, ‘Vitamin H’ by Abhishek Deepa Thakkar.

Before I present my take on the book, let us get introduced to the author.

Abhishek Thakkar is a literature and philosophy student who aims to pursue MA in

He is a voracious reader, ardent chess player, fervid book reviewer and an ebullient motivational trainer. He has organised seminars and workshops on 'communication', 'Vocabulary Development', 'Mind Power', 'Bhagvad Geeta' and 'How to study for exams'. He is a contributing author of more than 14 anthologies which include Heavenly Hymns, Krishna- The Yuga Purusha, Last Page of a Poet's Diary and Musings of my Heart.

He aspires to become a professor of English Literature. Vitamin H is his second solo book.

About the book:

Till today, I have read many types of books. Some are novels, while others are novellas or anthologies of stories or poems. This time, the book was of a different genre. As I picked the book, I assumed it to be a storybook. However, as I read along, I saw that it was a collection of several inspirational thoughts. The author has penned down positive thoughts that he had each day, which was ultimately compiled as a book. The thoughts reflect truth and would be a source of inspiration for anybody in today’s era. They aim to make you realize that you are special, and your life does have value. Some of those thoughts inspired my own self.

If we look into the literal meaning of the title of the book, Vitamin H is Biotin, a type of vitamin that helps in developing tissues and energy in our body. Going by the content of the book, it aims to fill the mind with positive thoughts that are no less than energies beneficial for us. Hence, it can be said that the title is suited for the book. Also, the cover page shows a person standing amidst the mountains- perhaps with a determination to reach more heights.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is depressed, or afraid of failure, or is surrounded by negativity and pessimism. I would rate the book 4.8 on 5.

Also, in the end, I would give my best wishes to the author for his next works. I would also thank him for inspiring people around with this book.
